Using only professional grade PCA SKIN™ Clinical Care Products, Boston Electrology & Skin Therapies offers gentle, non-toxic light to medium range chemical facial peel treatments, and physician supervised medical grade peels.
Our chemical facial peels will stimulate, firm and tighten the skin. PCA products offer a wide range of patented superficial chemical peels using a blend of alpha & beta hydroxy acids to address all varieties of skin types, including black skin, (or Type VI skin), and conditions, including acne and rosacea.
How the chemical skin peel works
At Boston Electrology, we offer many chemical peels in our MA office. Because each peel is unique, our Licensed Medical Aesthetican can help you determine which one will be best for your skin type during your free consultation.
Step 1:
The treatment begins by applying the proper PCA product to the skin surface and allowed to set for several minutes.
Step 2:
Next, the product is removed with a gentle cleansing wash and soothing lotion is applied. At this stage, your in-spa treatment is complete.
Step 3:
Several days after your chemical facial peel treatment you'll notice a slight flaking of the skin, much like after a sunburn has faded and begins to flake. This is a natural part of the chemical peel process that allows your new, revitalized skin to be revealed.
Your After-Treatment Care:
We will recommend a super moisturizer that will help minimize the appearance of the flaking which lasts from four to seven days. Amount of flaking varies from individual to individual.

Pumpkin Peel
This is a powerful anti-oxidant keratolytic enzyme treatment that works to hydrate and nourish the skin. It can serve as an alternate between other chemical peels and therapeutic treatments and it also works as a great prep for much stronger peels. This treatment is appropriate for any skin type and can be performed as frequently as every three weeks.
Rosacea Peel Treatment

This treatment is the best choice for irritated/active rosacea. The Rosacea Chemical Peel exfoliating treatment will smooth the surface, help kill bacteria and reduce redness with little or no stinging. A combination of Vitamin C and Pumpkin products will hydrate and nourish the skin, as well as, reduce redness and irritation. This treatment can be performed at monthly intervals.
PCA Chemical Peel
This powerful exfoliating treatment is the best choice for acne and severe sun damage. It is formulated using a combination of AHA's, Salicylic & Kojic acids in an Ethanol base and is available with or without Hydroquinone to allow for maximum results and flexibility.
PCA Peel HQ Free
Each additional layer add $10.00
This peel is ideal for more sensitive skin types, darker shades of skin and/or those allergic to hydroquinone. This peel will help to unclog pores, clear acne and rejuvenate the skin. It is also an excellent choice for maintaining even pigmentation and correcting pigment discoloration for those with hydrquinone sensitivities.
PCA Peel with Hydroquinone
Each additional layer add $10.00
This formula is for those who want even skin tone and have no sensitivity to hydroquinone. It will also help to correct melasma, sun damage and pigmented discoloration of any kind. In addition, this peel will help to inhibit active acne and correct post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (skin discoloration) from acne.
PCA Peel with HQ & Resorcinol
Each additional layer add $10.00
The most potent PCA Peel formula, this treatment will provide more exfoliation for oiler, thicker and more resilient skin types. It is effective on extremely sun damaged and thickened skin. It is also excellent for those with active/cystic acne and asphyxiated skin ( dry on the surface, oily underneath).
Ultra Peel I
This exfoliating treatment was conceptualized to target the needs of mature skin. The skin is visibly plump and very hydrated following this treatment due to the natural hormone additive, chaste tree extract, the most potent source of plant progesterone. Ultra Peel I is a chemical peel appropriate for all skin types, conditions and sensitivities. It will effectively treat aging skin, pigment disorders and photo-damaged skin.
Ultra Peel II
Each additional layer add $10.00
Specially formulated to treat dehydrated maturing skin, Ultra Peel II is appropriate for all skin types, conditions and sensitivities. Ultra Peel II will also help treat smoker's skin, pigment disorders and rosacea. The treatment is especially ideal for sensitive skin, as it produces only a mild tingling sensation. Moderate to aggressive exfoliation will be experienced, depending on the number of layers applied. Overall, the final result will be plump, hydrated, ultra-soft skin.
