How Laser Skin Rejuvenation Works
Laser Skin Rejuvenation involves the use of optical heat energy to help stimulate collagen production. This laser skin care treatment is also known as IPL, or “Intense Pulsed Light” therapy. It utilizes laser contact with the skin surface to transmit energy to the epidermal and superficial dermal skin layers. Improvement in skin tone and radiance may be seen after the first treatment, although five treatments spaced 3-4 weeks apart are required to achieve the complete, desired results. Additionally, Laser Skin Rejuvenation can be performed on other body areas, including the hands, neck, and chest.

Q: Are there any side effects to Laser Skin Rejuvenation treatments?

A: Typically, there are few side effects, and clients are able to return to their day immediately following a skin rejuvenation treatment. With rare exception, clients may experience a temporary reddening or flushing of the treated area, like a light sun burn; fading usually occurs within a few hours. Skin rejuvenation sometimes causes pigmented and vascular lesions to become darker for 7-10 days post-treatment before fading or flaking occurs.
